Hi I'm Scott

I'm from Chicago...I like to run, bike, sip mate and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from Chicago...I'm a HUGE Cubs fan. I love to run, bike, ski and pretty much just everything in the mountains. I really want to study in Argentina and sip some yerba mate with the caballeros down there. Playing in the NBA along side Derrick Rose is a dream of mine but if that doesn't work I'll settle for dental school. I have many leather bound books, my apartment smells of rich mahogany and I'm kind of a big deal, people know me!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because there are saving ordinances available to each and everyone of us through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. These ordinances are the things that we need to do in order to return to live with God and with our families forever after this life, things such as baptism. The same church that Jesus Christ organized when he was on the earth has been restored to the earth today after many years of being lost. That same church with that same priesthood authority to perform these ordinances is here on the earth today with a modern day prophet and that is why I'm a Mormon. I guess in order to tell why I am a Mormon, I need to share how I came to know that this church is true. I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed to Heavenly father to know if it was true and the answer that I received was so real and profound that I had no doubt that the church was true. The Holy Ghost bore witness to me that this church is true and I cant deny it. Everything that we do in this church is true and real and it really will have eternal consequences. I feel so grateful for this knowledge that I have and that is why I want to share it with anyone who doesn't know for themselves.

How I live my faith

By being Christ Like and giving selfless service to others. I attend church every Sunday to learn more about the savior, as well as fulfilling my callings within the Church. Callings are just assignments such as a teacher to children in the primary or being involved with helping youth and setting up fun productive activities.
