Hi I'm Rebekah

I hunt Sasquatch, i love the outdoors, i serve in The Ohio, and i'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love being in the great outdoors! Camping in a tent and living in the dirt and swimming in the lake is my favorite place to be. My father taught me from a young age to love fishing and hiking and enjoying the fresh air and great taste of camp cooking! My favorite memories always involve my family. I am the Youngest of five children and i am definitely the typical spoiled youngest child. I love my family and spending time with them, even if it involves yard work. I love life and finding joy in the simplicity of the amazing world that our loving Heavenly Father has given us. I wouldn't be who i am today if my parents didn't raise me and my siblings in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am currently serving as a missionary and it is the best thing i've ever done. After my mission i plan on going back to school and persuing a career in the medical field, where i can always be able to help others and love what i'm doing.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a memeber of the LDS church my entire life, growing up with wonderful parents who have taught me the gospel. My father was baptized at the age of 8 but was never active in the church until his mid 20s when the death of his father occured. He changed his life and was able to go on a mission and serve the Lord, where he also met his future wife. His example and his strength have been my guide. My mother was a convert to the church at the age of 18. She grew up with the belief that if she didn't play the harp she was doomed to hell. So her conversion to the gospel was a sweet and spiritual experience. She was alone in her decision to join and even more alone in her decission to serve a mission. Even with her family threatening to disown her, she served a wonderful mission and met my father. They together have been the most amazing parents. Overall it was still my choice whether or not to be truly converted in the gospel and through events in my life i have grown close to my Father in Heaven. I know that He loves each and every single one of us and that is why He sent His son Jesus Christ to Atone for our sins and allows us the way back to live with Him. I know without a shadow of a doubt that this church is true and that is why i choose to proudly wear the name of Latter Day Saint in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I live day to day trying my best to be obedient to the commandments of the Lord. I love my neighbors and enjoy serving others. I learned to serve the most while i worked in an assisted living home for three years, caring for the elderly who could not do day to day basics on their own. I love going to church and being able to mingle with those who have the same beliefs and being able to help each other grown in faith and testimony. I have participated in helping with the coordination of providing food for various activities in my ward along with watching over fellow sisters and their visiting teaching callings. A very rewarding calling was being a Gospel Principles teacher, i always learned more about the subject i was teaching than those i taught, but it was a cherished time and helped my testimony grow. I am now on a new adventure that makes being a member of the church a greater blessing in my life. I have the wonderful opportunity of serving a full-time mission in the Ohio Cleveland area and I love it! The Gospel is wonderful and seeing how it can bring joy and peace into others' lives is the greatest blessing of all. I support the leaders of the Church and do my best to obey their words and live as an example to others. Christ is my example in life and i will strive every living day to become more and more like Him.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Rebekah
Many have heard stories of the Mormon church and think that Joseph Smith wrote the Book of Mormon, but he didn't, he translated it. It was written by Prophets in the Americas before, during, and after Christ's ministry on the earth. Just as prophets in the middle east wrote the Bible. The Book of Mormon goes hand in hand with the Bible, providing another testament of Jesus Christ and strengthening its testimony and truthfulness. Show more Show less
