Hi I'm Eric

I am an Aerospace Engineer helping to design the new manned spacecraft for NASA. I have 5 children and I'm a proud Mormon.

About Me

I have 5 very lively children, ages 7-15. They pretty much take up all of my time. When not raising children and spending time with my wife, 2 dogs, 4 cats, and 5 children, I escape to work. I work for Lockheed Martin, on the Orion spacecraft. This will be the next generation manned spacecraft for exploring the Solar System. I love studying the Solar System and have a PhD in Space Sciences.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was rasied in the church by my parents. Even though this was the religion of my childhood, I still had to make the decision when I became an adult if I wanted to continue with this Faith. Today I am a Mormon because this religion works to bring greater direction, knowlege, and perspective to my life. I know what the purpose of life is and why trials happen. I know I am a child of God and He knows and cares for me. I know He answers prayers and can direct my life for good. I know Jesus Christ is my Savior and He makes all things possible. With the guidance from the Lord and the knowledge from the Gospel, I am a better husband and father. I have greater peace and happiness in my life.

How I live my faith

My faith forms the foundation of my life. Mormonism isn't just a Sunday thing. It involves a whole way of life. Each day we pray, read scriptures, work hard, and seek to serve others. When I have questions or concerns, I take the issue to the Lord with study and prayer. I can teach my children values and principles which will help prepare them for the difficulties of life. One aspect of Mormonism I especially treasure is the value the church places on learning, education, and work. The Lord has commanded us to seek learning by study and faith. We are to learn all we can about the world around us and to contribute to our communities, nation, and world.
