Hi I'm Richard

I'm a Mormon. I served in the military for 27 years

About Me

I was born in Salt Lake City, but have lived in San Fransisco, Hampton Beach. Cedar City, Utah, Portland, Oregon, Arvada and Milliken, Colorado. I enjoy movies, plays, concerts, reading and sitting in my back yard looking at the wildlife on the lake. I am a graduate of Southern Utah State College in Communications. Served my country from 1975 to 2002 when I retired from the military. I love this country and love living here.

Why I am a Mormon

My mom is LDS and my dad is not. I learned the truth about the Church a little by little. My conversion was not a mighty miricle but just a step at a time. Little things that happened to me made me wonder why it happened but could never explain. As I proceded to move along in life my knowledge of the Gospel grew and more things were opened to my understanding. Thus now I can say without a doubt that the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints is the only true church on the face of the earth. My study of the Bible has opened more light and knowledge of why the Bible is not complete. Things are mentioned in there that cannot be explained by anyone else except by a Prophed of God. God's law is not superficial, but a very inner sole connection as to what is in store for me.

How I live my faith

I do the best that I can to do what I am suppose to do. I have 4 families that I visit every month to see how thay are doing and if there is any needs that we as a ward can help them with. I keep track of all the members in the ward as far as when they come in and move their records out when moving to another ward. The church is the same no matter where you are at. It is the same teachings whether you are in Africa, England, or the United States it is all the same.
