Hi I'm Rick

I spent 10 years in the military. I am a full-time Safety and Health Professional and a part-time Mobile DJ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a fourth generation Mormon. Although I grew up in the Church, I did not serve a full-time mission, but served 10 years in the U.S. Navy. I am married and have five children and two step-children. I love to travel, ride roller-coasters, and DJ. I am a Safety and Health Professional with a fortune 500 company. I support 23 facilities across the US and Puerto Rico. Supporting these locations, not only keeps me busy, it keeps my frequent flyer account far from empty. My weekly travel allows me to be home on the weekends to spend time with my family and attend my local church or Ward, where I serve as a Clerk to the Bishop.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up in the church, I didn't really gain my own testimony until I went away to Boot Camp in the U. S. Navy. It was there, while I was totally away from family and friends, that I prayed to know the truth about the church. I prayed to my Heavenly Father and asked him if the Church was true; if the book of Mormon was true; and if Joseph Smith was a true prophet. It was during this time that I received confirmation of the truthfulness of these things. From there, my testimony has continued to grow. That was 31 years ago.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a Ward Clerk for a large ward. During my adult life, I have served as Sunday School President, Cub Scout Den Leader, Assistant Scoutmaster, Young Men's Advisor, a counselor in the Stake Mission Presidency, a Branch President, as well as several other positions. It is through these opportunities to serve others, that I get to show my love for my Savior and Heavenly Father, as well as my fellow man. These service opportunities bless my life in so many ways. Not only do I receive blessings from Heavenly Father for following his commandments, but I receive the pleasure and joy that comes from knowing that you have done something good for someone else. I get a warm and joyful feeling inside when I serve others. I know Heavenly Father knows and loves each of us. I also know he hears and answers our prayers. I know he will hear and answer yours, as well. All you have to do is ask, with sincere faith, and he will manifest the truthfullness of all things to you. Go ahead... Get on your knees and talk to our Heavenly Father. Good luck on your search for the truth!
