Hi I'm Willie Atkin

I grew up in Cache Valley, Utah. I'm a sports fanatic. I enjoy meaningful conversation. I love to laugh! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a Mormon! I have four older sisters, and I have a great mother and father. I own a pretty yellow lab named Sunny. I recently returned home from a two-year mission in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I am currently a student majoring in Manufacturing Engineering and Tech. I love playing and watching sports, especially when it comes to soccer and basketball. I enjoy camping, hiking, fly fishing, or really anything in the good ol' outdoors. The things that bring me the most happiness are playing and listening to music and spending time with those I love.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason why I am a Mormon is not because my parents raised me in the church and not because I grew up in Utah, but simply because I know it's true. It's easy to attend church and go through the motions, but I'm a Mormon because this gospel of Christ is something that I've come to know is true for myself through personal experiences - experiences that I believe anyone can have if they seek the Lord. I've felt God's love for me, and I just want to share it with everybody! In a world with so many distractions and so much evil it's easy to feel discouraged or sad, but I have found so much peace in keeping the commandments and trusting in Heavenly Father's plan. I know that He has a glorious plan for each of us! This is what keeps me moving forward each day. I feel an urgency to share the gospel and uplift others because I want people to understand their wonderful potential. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that his atonement can help me be just a little better each day. At times I feel unimportant and worthless, but then I always remember that there is someone who loved me enough to pay for not only my sins, but those feelings of insignificance. Without Him, I have nothing. With Him, I have everything. 3 Nephi 5:13

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in the way God would want me to. I am far from perfect, but I have felt the most satisfaction when I simply try to do what is right. I feel closest to my Savior when I'm serving others and sharing His love through friendship. Being a missionary, going hometeaching, and serving in other callings have showed me the joy that comes through being a part of God's kingdom on Earth.
