Hi I'm Dave

I grew up in North Carolina, I worked two full-time jobs and went to school, now I'm serving a mission for God, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Dave, I'm from North Carolina. I'm serving a mission in San Bernardino, California, speaking the Spanish language. I'm excited to be serving the Lord helping people come unto Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into The Church of Jesus Christ. I've always loved my family and the Lord, however I did lose faith for a while when I was around sixteen-years-old. I worked two full-time jobs and went to school part-time, so I didn't think I had time to go to church. When I turned eighteen-years-old, however, I had a change of heart. I suddenly wanted to know everything about God and his plan. I search the scriptures and prayed a lot, wanting to know if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the true church. I thought "I've never been to any other church, how can I be sure?" So I talked to friends and nothing ever seemed as right as this church. I never felt the Spirit anywhere like I do in this church. I prayed some more and have come to know that this has to be the only true church on the earth today. My testimony has grown so much, and now I'm serving a two-year mission in San Bernardino, California, USA. I love knowing that I can help answer the questions people may have like I did. I could not stand knowing that many people have never felt the blessings of being LDS. My dad grew up in a small town in Colorado, he did not grow up in the church. It wasen't until he was 22-yaers-old before he had heard of this church. He talked to the missionarys some and gained a testimony that this was true, and so he joined. He served a mission in Ohio one year later. My mom grew up in a very small town in North Carolina. She had been a member her whole life and loved going to church. My mom and dad met in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were merried a while later and had three kids, me being the youngest. I know that if the missionarys never talked to my dad, he never would have met my mom, and I would not have such a great family to love. I know God has a plan for everyone, and am greatful to be a part of His work. I'm excited that I'm a missionary now, and hope to be as the missionarys that taught my dad, and help a family be together as mine!

How I live my faith

I'm serving a mission for two-years in San Bernardino, California, USA. I'm teaching the gospel in the Spanish language helping people understand what we stand for. I'm out answering questions that people may have, to help them better understand their place on earth.
