Hi I'm Catherine

I'm a mother of two beautiful boys. I have a degree in child psychology. I love to serve in my community and church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of two boys that keep me very busy. My husband works fulltime and is in graduate school. Family time is very important to us. So we love to enjoy the outdoors and have fun togther. I also like to sit down with a good book, when I get the time. I have worked with children who have behavior disabilities. I eventually want to pursue a Master's Degree in either School Psychology or Speech Therapy.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were always very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. And I always went to church each week. But it wasn't until i was 16 that I really understood why I was a member of the church. My mother passed away from cancer and my father remarried only about a month later. As a young girl I was serching for answers and comfort. It was at that time that my testimony grew. I felt the love of my savior engulf me in those difficult times. I turned to him in prayer and I sought strength through reading the words of God in the scriptures. I was so comforted to know that I could see my dear sweet mother again if I worked hard to keep the commandments. From that time forth I have continued to strengthen my testimony of the Savior and his gospel.

How I live my faith

I am so blessed to have to opportunity to give service to those in my community and church. I am able to take meals to those who are sick or visit those who may need a friend or may be struggling. I have the amazing opportunity to work with the children ages 18 months- 11years in our church. They are so wonderful and are always there to greet me each week with smiling faces. I am grateful that I have the oppotunity to teach them of our Savior Jesus Christ.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

One of the things that is freshest in my my is when I held my newborn baby in my arms. Their bodies are so perfect and so new. Each child that comes to this earth is truly a miracle when you think about all of the things that have to go right. It is a testament to me that there is a God and he is our Father.
