Hi I'm Wayne Turnbow

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the Father of 3 girls and one boy. I grew up in the Church in Idaho and served a mission for our Church when I was 19. My wife and I have always been active in the Church and it is a part of our lives. We have moved several times and have found great joy in finding people anywhere we went who shared our love of Jesus Christ and desire to find joy in serving others. I enjoy outdoor activities such as biking, hiking and occasionally a little fishing. I enjoy playing racquetball. My greatest happiness come in spending time with my wife. We both love being with our children and grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I count myself lucky to have been born in the Church and raised by parents who set a great example. I have such a love of the Lord Jesus Christ and His atonement. I know I make a lot of mistakes and others make mistakes that are hurtful to me, but thanks to the atonement, I don't have to carry that burden, but can turn it over the Lord. As I see many of my friends struggle to understand why bad things happen to good people, I'm grateful for my knowledge of the plan of salvation. I love the opportunity to share the gospel with anyone who is wants to learn about it. I understand that agency is one of the greatest gifts God has given us and I will respect the rights of everyone to worship in the way they feel is correct. I know I have a personal relationship with Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ. I want to live with them again with my wife and family. When life gets hard, I am grateful that I have a living Prophet to listen to and know that he will guide us in the way that will help us avoid the pitfalls that Satan will put in our path. None of us are exempt from challenges, but I hope to like Job and find strength in hardship by turning to God. I love Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father and have a testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the true Church of God on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I have served in many capacities in the Church through my life working with the youth and children, and in calling working with adults. All have brought great fulfillment and joy. I also have served in various community positions including Scoutmaster to a large mixed group of youth. I have been active in Rotary in the past and have served on community and government committees.
