Hi I'm Jacob

I strive to be a latter-day St. This life is a time for us to strive to become like Jesus Christ. if we help each other we can.

About Me

I love being busy, If there is not any thing to do I find something to do, which often gets me in trouble. despite only being 21 I have had many difficulties due to this fact I would call myself a overcomer. if I were to talk about all of them it would probably take a book but one of my disabilities is autism so that would be difficult to worght. my most recent and still present difficulty has been cancer.Shortly after the completion of my mission I was diagnosed with lymphoma which i cancer, since then I have been receiving chemotherapy and just now I'm about to transition to radiation treatment. People often ask why did this happen to me, but I haven't let myself question the Lord's motives. Now that I look back I probably had cancer for a good portion of my mission which is a laborious work, I feel as if the Lord slowed down the growth of the cancer so I would be able to complete my mission, I would have been devastated if the work I had such passion for would have ended due to an illness Only after I completed my mission did the cancer accelerate and become discovered. I know there must be some of you reading this right now they are going through this challenge or a similar one I wish I would be able to talk to you but I hope my testimony will suffice. I know that the Savior lives and has felt all of the anguish. We may not be able to comprehend God planned for us but if we could I'm sure we would again except all of these learning experiences he has afflicted on us.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church, My parents were converted to The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints (Mormon). My Father Michael Sr. heard about the Church when he was 16 and was interested but it didn't work out. He met the Missionaries again when he was 20 and he was baptized. My mother met the Missionaries when she was 14 and was not interested at all. When the Missionaries met her, the first one asked Kara if she wanted to be with her family forever and she said NO. The second missionary (Ryan) asked my mother if she wants to have her own family she would want to be with forever, then the door was wide open for them. since I was born in the church. For many years it was all I new and understood, I did not go through a time ware I had to look through different churches and faiths. In the Book of Mormon, Moroni mad a promise in chapter 10 and it sad to me " ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true (Moroni 10: 4 p529)". I prayed Just as Moroni said, by the power of the Holy Ghost I had received an answer, through lots of praying, and studying. I now know the God is my Eternal Father and his sun Jesus Christ is the redeemer through we all can be saved. I came to Know all this things are true through the third member of the Godhead the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

I love The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because we are more than Just a name. We are encouraged to live above the standers of life, it can be considered more than just a church, it is also a life stile. Mormons are not just Christian on Sunday from 11:00 tell 11:45 We know who we are. we are Christian 24/7 with know exceptions, this is a life long commitment to God! As I have undergone the difficulties the last few months due to my cancer, many people at my church have asked me things such as there anything I can do, how can I help, and also offering countless prayers I'm sure. To you this may seem like things anybody's friends would offer them, these people for the most part were complete strangers to me, while I was on my mission in Oregon my family moved. I'm only expressing the parts of me most to me, and left a lot out, I'm sure you could fill in some of what I've left out if you know any latter-day Saints both of this church and modern day Saints that have not yet discovered the restoration of God's church here on the Earth. whether your a member are not one I hope this well have strengthened your belief in Christ, and giving you a brief reason why I strive to be a latter-day Saints. We also know how to have fun. The Church provides weekly hand on learning activities that I Love my favorite activity is Boy Scouts. I eared my Eagle, my project was promoting Emergency preparedness for natural disasters and there was an estimate of 3500 teenagers taught.
