Hi I'm Ed

I'm a Mormon. I'm from Co. I went to BYU as a non-member of the church on a baseball scholarship. I have met three prophets.

About Me

I am a Husband, Father and a business owner. I have a passion for service. I am a convert to the the LDS faith. I chose to go to BYU from many other schools that I had baseball scholarships offers. I have played professional baseball for the San Diego Padres system. I love to serve in the church, attend the temple and fulfill my callings. I love to play golf, shoot sporting clays and ride bikes.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is the true restored gospel of Jesus Christ. It was restored by a true prophet, Joseph Smith who saw a vision of Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ in the sacred grove. I chose to go to BYU as a non-member of the church. It was the best years of my young life. I was so impressed by the character and testimonies of the students and staff at BYU. I was never pressured to join the church while I was at BYU. I was shown by example by the members at BYU the power of their testimonies. I was so impressed by the strength of the members not to give into the social pressures of society. Satan will at all cost find anyone's weakness at make it a point to exploit it . You can feel the spirit on the BYU campus like no other place in the world other than the temple. I joined the church almost a year after I left to play professional baseball in the San Diego Padres minor league system. I was baptized on the BYU campus and approximately 200 people attended. It was the best decision of my life. I am sealed to my wife and children for all time and eternity

How I live my faith

I live my faith 24/7. Being a member of our faith is not a Sunday only religion. We are honored and blessed to have and fulfill our callings. Currently I am the President of our Sunday School. This calling allows me to study ponder and pray about the scriptures. This is when the real teaching happens in the church. I have so blessed to have wonderful counselors and teachers that take their callings seriously. I have so blessed to fulfill my home teaching. I had the same partner for 4 years. We never missed a month for 4 years. It was such a blessing to have such an impact on our families. I feel we were blessed more than our families were blessed by being in their homes.
