Hi I'm Freeman

I grew up in Utah, Idaho, and Nevada. I enjoy learning about others and their cultures. I work in logistics. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Most people describe me as warm and always smiling. As I have gone through life, I have always tried my best to be an example to my friends. Like most people, I grew up in humble circustances. I have a good family and a father that worked hard to provide for us. I have a loving mother and seven siblings. I am currently married to a wonderful spouse, who stregthens me everyday. We have two good children, a little girl and a little boy. They brighten our lives. I enjoy classical music, spending time with my family, going on walks, and visiting with neighbors and friends. I have always enjoyed learning. Most of my life has been involved with school. I have gone all the way up through graduate school, and have my MBA. It was a challenge, but rewarding. I enjoy learning about current events, finances, businesses, and politics. I do enjoy basic computer programming. I currently serve in the military as a reservist and see the sacred obligation that it brings. I also work in purchasing for my civilian company and have treated me well.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ. I see the gospel in its simplest form, undefiled, and true. It makes sense to me. I have always seen Heavenly Father as just that, my father. He is full of love and care for each of his children. He has allowed for all his children to be given every chance to return to live with him. I see the mission and role of Jesus Christ very clearly. I hope to return to him and I am grateful for his sacrifice that he gave willingly to all of us. I enjoy learning about his life and the perfect example that he gave us. I am a Mormon because I have a living prophet to listen to and follow. Thomas S. Monson is the modern day prophet. He words bring hope and peace, as the other modern day prophets have as well. He has also been a voice of warning. I see it as a great blessing and a signature of Heavenly Father's love to provide direction in such a terbulent world. I am a Mormon because I believe in Eternal Marriage. I find great peace and happiness to know that I will be with my beloved wife and children after this world ends, as long as I do my part. I believe in marraige and its importance.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith everyday. I do this by serving in the church. I help the Bishop of our ward to do his responsibilities and work regularly with all ages. I find it a great blessing. I also work hard to be an example to my co-workers. I avoid inappropriate media. I use clean language to show respect to those around me. I visit families in my local area and see what ways I can help them. I also strive to serve my family and help them grow in knowlege and understanding in the gospel.

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

It comes directly from people associating us with the Book of Mormon. I always refer to myself as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sometimes they give me a blank look like they have never heard of it. I let them know then that some people know us as " Mormons" and a light turns on, but we are as "Christian" as they come. The true name of our church signifies we are followers of Christ. I can easily say this because every member of our church promises that will will serve Christ and keep his commandments when we are baptized. We renew that promise every week when we take the sacrament. I believe that almost all members at church take that promise serious and strive to keep it. Show more Show less
