Hi I'm Michael

I grew up in Chandler, AZ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up as a Latter-Day Saint and have loved the church for as long as I can remember. I am currently serving a mission. I attended BYU-Provo for my freshman year and plan on returning after serving.

Why I am a Mormon

This church is true. That is why I am a baptized member. I have a testimony that this is the only true church because it contains the fullness of the everlasting Gospel of Jesus Christ. This gospel was restored to the earth by the prophet Joseph Smith in the early 1800's. Through reading the Book of Mormon, pondering its messages, and praying about what you read. Through the power of the Holy Ghost you can learn for yourself if this is God's true church by simply praying to your Father in heaven. That is how I gained my testimony, which can never be taken away from me. I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I always try to do my part as a member of the church. I have recieved many callings over the years and have done what I can to magnify or fulfill that calling by following up and performing all necessary responsibilities I am given. I have learned a lot in doing this and have grown closer to my Redeemer, Jesus Christ. Going to church each week on Sunday is not only fun, it is a growing opportunity.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is a volume of holy scripture comparable to the Bible. It is a collection of accounts authored by different prophets (Ex: Nephi, Alma, Helaman, Enos, Moroni) who lived long ago. These prophets received divine revelation from the Lord concerning what should be included in this record. It was preserved for thousands of years and has been brought forth in this modern age by the prophet Joseph Smith who translated the record into English and published it as The Book of Mormon (1830). It has since been translated into many other languages with the hope that all people everywhere can read it and receive a personal witness that it is truly the word of God. Show more Show less
