Hi I'm Brenda

I'm a business woman, a wife, a sister, and an Aunt of 35 nieces and nephews. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to travel and I try to get out of the country at least once a year even if it's just to Canada or Mexico. I run a small retained, executive search firm. I love to cook ; it's the way I relax and my hobby. I also love to read. The most important priority in my life is my family - my husband, my parents, my 8 siblings and my nieces and nephews. I organize my life so I can serve and be with them. My husband and I love to play backgammon. I like to play games, he doesn't, but I can get him to play backgammon with me. My husband and I married in our forties. We don't have children, but we are raising a 15 year old teenage boy and his 9 year old brother. It's quite the challenge, but worth the effort. Our family also includes a wonderful dog - he is 80 lbs of German Shepherd Rottweiler and Labrador which makes him playful, willful and smart.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it makes sense. All questions of where were we, why are we here and where are we going can be answered clearly and simply. I love the focus on family and the fact that we can be together for eternity. I so appreciate the focus on service, because by serving we see beyond our own challenges and issues and become better humans.

How I live my faith

I have the pleasure of leading the Women's organization for my Ward. We get to meet often, visit with each other and learn together. We have parties to celebrate Valentines Day and eat chocolate bon bons and make Valentines cards. We prepare meals and serve food at funerals. We learn how to make bread so we can contribute to the financial and physical health of our families. We organize events for mother and sons and fathers and daughters so they can spend time with each other and strengthen their relationships. We focus on charity and serving others.
