Hi I'm Kent

I love skiing, I'm a future Engineer, Current Norwegian Missionary, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a college student studying mechanical engineering at Brigham Young University, and I hope to someday become a Biomedical Engineer. I love skiing and mountain biking, and I enjoy being outside. I also love golfing and watching baseball. I really enjoy helping people, and am involved with an organization that sets up prosthetic leg clinics in third-world countries. At the moment, I am serving a full-time mission in beautiful Norway!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that it is the Restored Gospel. I know that it is exactly the same church that Christ established while on the Earth, and that He still guides it today. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ speak through our current prophet, President Thomas S. Monson, and that listening to him will help us in every part of our life. I love being a member of the LDS Church because of the enormous happiness it brings. The knowledge that we can live forever with our families brings unmeasurable joy. Having the Holy Ghost with me constantly helps me to keep life in perspective and makes immeasurable amounts of knowledge available to us. My faith gives me an anchor and trust in the difficult times we all experience, helping me to focus on the benefits I gain from trials instead of the difficult times. My entire perspective on life and its purpose has been refined. Finally, our guilt and sorrow from sin can be removed by God's amazing gift of Jesus Christ's Atonement. I am a member of this church because it makes me truly happy. I know that through Christ and His Gospel, others can also feel this same happiness. I know this Church is true. I know that Christ is my Savior and Redeemer.

How I live my faith

I am currently "living my faith" by serving a Mission for the LDS Church in Norway. I am helping to spread the Gospel to all of the world! This is by far the most important and satisfying work that one can be involved in. In the past I have enjoyed living my faith by being involved in service groups. There is no match for the satisfaction and knowledge that can come from service. Serving others is one of the best ways to become more Christ-like and live His Gospel.
