Hi I'm Julio

I'm from Montevideo, Uruguay. I'm an Army Officer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work in the Army, in a quite particular Unit speciallized in Veterinary. I'm happily married with a wonderful woman. I like sports very much, specially soccer.

Why I am a Mormon

Since my earliest years, I've always been interested in religion. I grew up in a christian family, although they were not active in any particular church. I knew the Church by chance (at least that's what I thought at first), ten years ago, in a small city of Uruguay, called Minas. A festival was been held in the main square of it, and as I was walking by, I saw a place were two nicely clothed american boys were explaining about The First Vision. One of them came to me and started to talk with me. I got really interested, so I listened to his speech, and finally we arranged a meeting at my home. A few weeks later, my mom told me that a pair of american boys were looking for me: they were Missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I invited them to come in, and I had my first lesson. I was fassinated by everything they taught me, and a few weeks later, I was baptized. It was one of the happiest days of my life. As I got out of the baptismal waters, I felt a joy and happiness so big and sweet, as I have never experienced. I felt like running, shouting, I don't know... I felt so happy that day! Ten years has passed since that significant day, but that warm feeling has been with me every day.

How I live my faith

Nowadays I serve in my ward teaching other men to fulfill their duties and responsibilities as priests. I also help them to improve their family relations. I enjoy it very much.
