Hi I'm Jade

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Jade. I'm married and am the father of young triplets. After graduating from college, I was blessed to have found a great job which I enjoy and that allows me to provide for our small family. I enjoy jogging, baking, and spending time with my wife and friends. At university, I majored in both French and German. Because I served my mission for the LDS church in Germany, I've been fortunate to keep up my skills in the language, and am currently working to teach German to my children. I tend to be a rather quiet and reserved person, and enjoy reading and being outside doing quiet activities.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member all my life, but that does not mean that I've been exempted from trials and worries. In the darker moments of my life, I have always found the greatest comfort in knowing two things: 1) God lives and He loves us as His children. 2) I can kneel down and humbly pray, expecting that He cares about me individually and specifically, and that He is able to bless me with those things that will bring me peace and comfort. I've found that living according to the commandments becomes easier with time. It is very true that--when we exercise to faith to allow even the smallest seed of goodness and truth to take root within our hearts--God will bless us with peace and with understanding that happiness and true joy come only when we follow the example of His son, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

As a family, we spend time each day doing quiet activities. This includes having family prayer and reading from a children's version of the holy scriptures to our little ones. Our children enjoy church, and especially look forward to attending the nursery where they sing songs and learn about Jesus Christ. We try to identify opportunities to serve our neighbors and our friends, and seek to be examples of the "golden rule". Our home is a quiet and peaceful place. The first picture that one sees upon entering our front door is one of the Savior, Jesus Christ. I serve in our congregation as a clerk. In that capacity, I assist the Bishop (the presiding spiritual leader of the congregation) by performing financial management tasks. I also have the chance to occasionally teach classes on Sunday.
