Hi I'm R. Tanner

A few questions: 1. Will you sing with me? 2. Peanut butter: Chunky or Creamy? 3. Are you a Mormon too?

About Me

Oh boy! I love people! I love to talk to them, learn about their lives, and I especially love making new friends and you've just become one of them (and hopefully I'll make more!). Singing is definately my thing, no doubt about it. I'm very much into Jazz and A' Capella music. I also play a few instuments here and there. My favorite being Ukulele. I love to have adventures. Love trying new things. Learning is a major pursuit for me and I hope I can learn a whole lot more! Currently a student at Snow College! Sometimes I can be sporatic and get ahead of myself, but I feel I've got a lot to give. I hope y'all are getting what I'm trying to express.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason I'm a member of Christ's Church is because of all He's done for me. I'm naturally a sinner, but I've come to learn and to use the healing power of Christ's Atonement. I know He personally suffered for me and sins, and that means everything to me. Not only has He suffered for me, but He's suffered for you too. I know this to be true. If I didn't have The Savior in my life; if I had never learned of Him, I would be lost. I may not be perfect, but I hope for perfection. I know that I can only achieve that through Christ's True Church. I have faith that He can, and will, make a difference in your life, if you allow Him to. He's watching over us with the Father right now, and I feel his love everyday. I've asked God many times in prayer, if this is His Son's True Church, and I have recieved an answer. My hope is that you will be able to come this knowledge yourself. One of the most amazing ways that I know that this is His Church, is The Book of Mormon. I cannot tell you how blessed of a book it is. Reading from The Book of Mormon will help you understand the nature of God, and why Christ came ond suffered for us. It was written for you and me, and heaven knows that you need to hear what is written in that Holy Script. I also know that this is His True Church by listening to His servants, the Prophets. Just as it says in The Bible, in the book of Amos, God will reveal his truths to the Prophets. Since God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, we are still in need of a prophet. I know that president of this Church is that prophet. What a wonderful thing it is for me to know of these wonderful truths. I pray that everyone can know of these truths, and that when they do, they will do all that they can to join Christ's Church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to share it with everyone. As a missionary for Christ's Church, I have the wonderful oportunity to share what I know to be true with everyone I meet. I have the wonderful blessing to be a representitive of Jesus Christ, and therefore, I have the Holy Ghost as my companion, to testify to the hearts of those I meet, of the truthfulness of my words. Therefore, I know that with such a promised blessing, I must go and teach with the spirit. The way I live is not only for me. It's for my family, to be able to live with them forever, and it's for my Savior, and my God. I'm so very indebted to them, that I'll strive to do all I can for them, though it may never seem, to me, to be enough.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

R. Tanner
As missionaries, we proselyte because we've been given the command to from Christ himself. We go and teach so that we can spread the good news of his restored gospel with everyone. We desire for everyones happiness, and we know that we have the answers that can provide this happiness. Never have I felt more of my saviors love than when I've been teaching others of how they too can feel it. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

R. Tanner
When we (as missionaries) visit your home, we will talk about the "fullness of the gospel" and how you can know for yourself if what we teach is true. We will talk about how Christ's church was set up, how it was taken off the Earth for a time, and how it was restored through a prophet. We will also talk about God's plan of happiness for us, and how we can return to live with him and how we can live with our families forever. We will talk about justice and mercy, and what Christ asks of us because of the great sacrifice he made for us. We will talk about the commandments that God asks us to follow, and how we can live happy in this world and in the next. These are some of the things that we'll talk about, and of course, we will invite you discover the truth of it for yourself. We can promise that our message will help you in your life, and it will bring you great joy. Show more Show less
