Hi I'm Scott

I'm a runner. I love music in variety. My mind wanders a LOT, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

First of all. I love music. I have to have a soundtrack to almost everything. I love the way music affects my mood and fuels my imagination. I'm not exactly sure what I want to do with my career but whatever it is music will be a key part of my inspiration for it. I also love to run. I started track my freshman year of high school and at first stuck with it, if nothing else, just to stick with it. As I began to adjust and grow stronger I learned to really love the challenges it presented and the feeling of accomplishment that accompanied the completion of a fifteen mile run. (Music and running make a great combination by the way) Running and music, have helped me through some of the most stressful times of my life as well as enriching the best times. I enjoy ceramics, architecture, and art in general. Anything creative really. Although I don't feel especially talented at any of these things, I see things like that as chances to improve yourself and develop your own way of doing things, and doing them well. My current career plan is graphic design and a masters in architecture. I"m currently enrolled at a univesity attempting to make that daydream a reality. Finally, I love stories and will get them through any medium, be it through a movie, TV show, book, song or hearing my friends and family tell them.

Why I am a Mormon

Honestly, at first I was only a Mormon because I was born into it. As I went into my late teens I realized that just being born into it wasn't going to cut it. I began to give great thought to the teachings of the Church and the Book of Mormon I realized that this Church makes more sense to me than anything else. Everything about this Church and the Book of Mormon has made complete sense to me. Not only that, following the teachings of the Church has never done anything but good for my family and I. Christ has taught that "by their fruits ye shall know them", and the fruits of this Church are the best I've found. I fully believe that every good thing that I have or has happened to me comes from God, and that in return I need to follow Him as best I know how. I belive that being Mormon is that best way. As I continue to live and learn in the Church I find more and more reasons to stay.

How I live my faith

Currently I live my faith by putting everything on hold except my religion. I am serving as a missionary in northern Ohio. This means devoting all my time and attention to teaching what I have come to know for myself about the Lord Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father.
