Hi I'm Allan

I'm a Mormon. I'm a CPA Certified Public Accountant and love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

About Me

I have been happily married for over 34 years. I have 5 children and 7 grandchildren. I come from a small farming town in southern Idaho and my wife from a small town in Montana. I like doing almost anything from work to play, with my family except I don't like scary rides at theme parks. My favorite hobbies are going boating with my family and reading. My grandparents on both sides of my family immigrated from Japan to America in the early 1900's. I do not speak any Japanense, however, I did serve as a missionary for two years to the French speaking providene of Quebec.

Why I am a Mormon

My grandparents and parents were of the Buddist faith. My mother converted to a Mormon when I was a little boy. I was baptized a member when I was close to 9 years old. Not long after, my mother went inactive for a very long time and consequently, I followed in her footsteps. When I was a senior in high school, I was asked by a young lady if I attended church. My answer was no. That was one of the most powerful questions that I have ever been asked because I started asking myself that question. That was the beginning, from that question a desire was created for me to find out for myself if the Church that I was baptized in, was the true church. I started to read the Book of Mormon for the first time in my life and started attending church. It was from a loving Heavenly Father that I received an answer to my prayers. I have been a very active member of this church since then. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ with all my heart.

How I live my faith

One of the greastest blessings I have received from being a member of this church is GUIDANCE. The teachings have helped me become a better husband and father. I have learned from teachings of the Savior, that the best way to teach our children and grandchildren is through our own example. The way I live my life, which be heard more clearing than the words I speak. I have a position in the church which allows me to work with the adult men. We try to help people who are struggling in life, it could be a health issue, death in the family, a wayward child, unemployed, needing financial assistance, help remodeling a house, or any other situations. I am glad to have the opportunity to help others.
