Hi I'm Jeremy

I grew up in the Bay Area and later the Central Valley. I am in school studying psychology and film. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

There are three things I do that define my hobbies. I love reading, playing tennis, and anything involving film. Before going to college I served at two year LDS mission to India. I am a college student at the moment studying psychology as well as film. I am fascinated by how people interact with one another. My favorite part of life is connecting with other people by understanding them from their perspective.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When I was twelve my family moved in with my grand parents. My grand parents were not members of the church. They are both very thoughtful individuals and they would constantly question me about what I believed. It came to the point that I realized that I believed the way I did because of the faith of my mother. This was not a good enough reason for myself. I had to know on my own terms. I decided to find out the truth whether I was following God in the right way or not. I read from the Book of Mormon and I prayed to know if the book was true. I received an answer by the power of the Holy Ghost and I knew from that time on that I was following God in an appropriate manner.

How I live my faith

I live my beliefs by helping out in the community. I have volunteered at the local Mental Health Clinic, as well as I have interned at the local courthouse helping them with litigation. I also live my beliefs by taking an active part in participating in church. I love the opportunity we have to visit and teach other members. We call this hometeaching. I have been able to be an Elder's quorum president as well as an ordinance worker in the temple. I think I mostly live my faith by daily reading the scriptures and actively praying.
