Hi I'm Blue

I am a strong well-educated Jamaican woman, wife, and mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Masters of Business Administration and a Doctorate of Management ABD. I truly believe that my life parallels that of Joseph Smith in the search for the truth. I spent many of my younger years attending various different churches of differing denominations. As I became a young adult through to womanhood, I trusted no one and instead relied on my will, choosing to live my life based on the bits and pieces of what I learned about how to live a good life. Unfortunately, that approach kept me wanting more. Deep inside I always yearned for a more steadfast path and for a Church in which I felt I belong in my heart. Today, I have found that Church and to best describe the feeling..."It felt like I was finally HOME!" I enjoy spending time with my family and playing basketball especially with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

All my life I have searched for the truth and finally, I am home. I have chosen to be a member of His church because even though I have succeeded professionally and academically, I always knew that there was more to life. Finally, I met my husband who was an inactive member and we both knew that we wanted our children to be influenced by the Gospel. We both, with the help of our heavenly father, stripped ourselves of all false gods esp. money and focused on the truth, the Gospel. After a re-organization of our life and priorities, today, I am a Mormon and my husband is a Mormon and we are the happiest we have ever been. The Heavenly father has shown us that the Covenant, the Gospel, and Him as the central focus of our lives have been the missing link in our lives.Today, if someone asks me "how are you doing?", I know how to truly say, "I am happy" "I am doing GREAT!", mean it and feel it! Today, our family is the happiest and we ensure that we pray together, read the scripture daily. We realized that TRUE JOY and HAPPINESS comes from having the Church and without the Gospel, everything else is just an illusion. Money doesn't bring happiness. The Church, Our Heavenly Father and keeping the commandments are TRULY the acts and behaviors that brings Happiness, everything else is Secondary. And even more, that Our Heavenly Father loved us and gave us a manual to help us live and navigate through this life here on earth. We learned that we are not alone and so we don't need to act or behave as if we are. We are extremely pleased and happy to know that we are doing our best with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the Church, we will raise happy children which leads to Happy adults, and a Happy Life. Because I am a MORMON, today, I am good human being, a wonderful mother, wife, sister and child of God and will continue to do my best to be with my heavenly father in eternity.

How I live my faith

I look forward to my calling and in the mean time, I read the scriptures with my family everyday, pray and counsel with my husband on a daily basis and study the scripture with my husband and family each and everyday. We go to Church every Sunday, keep the Sabbath holy and I volunteer to help where needed. I also teach my children about the Gospel, about the great works of Joseph Smith and about the Book of Mormon. I look forward to sharing the Gospel with all those who are willing to listen.
