Hi I'm Patrick

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My hobbies include fly fishing, hunting and reading. My wife and I have 5 beautiful children who are our greatest treasures.

Why I am a Mormon

As a young boy of 9, I had an experience that convinced me that not only does God answer prayers but he performs miracles in modern times. I found myself lost one night in some dense woods trapped in some thick pricker bushes. In desperation after what felt like hours to release myself I knelt down on my knees and began to pray for help. It remains quite vivid what happened next. Something unseen assisted me up and lead me to a path which eventually lead me home. From this experience, I always trusted God cared about me specifically and not just all of us collectively. Since then he has answered my prayers on countless occasions albeit not in such a grandiose way. I am a Mormon because of its teachings about Jesus Christ and message about eternal families. I have studied and prayed over this message my entire life and I am convinced it is true. Living the standards of the church has also reinforced my convictions about the church. When I live by its precepts: a Christ centered life, , making family my highest priority and when I serve other people, my burdens are made light and I am happy.

How I live my faith

As a member of the Mormon church, I serve as a bishop in my congregation of 260. This means I look after the spiritual needs and sometimes physical needs of the entire congregation. Although the demands of this assignment are big, the rewards to me and my family have been so great.
