Hi I'm Kathy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

This August I have been married for 38 years, to a wonderful man. We have five wonderful children and thirteen adorable grandchildren. 29 years ago I was diagnoised with M.S. Through experience, which truly is the best teacher, I learned the importance of the food I eat, plays such an important part with my health. Today I live a normal healthy life. I enjoy writing, I enjoy the Spanish language, I speak it...a little. I enjoy meeting my friends for lunch. Talking to my Mother on the phone. Seeing a movie on Friday nights with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because... I was led. I was born into a home where both biological parents were alcholics. Hence I was abused emotionally, physically ,sexually. I was eleven years old, when I had a 'feeling' a that I should leave home. My thoughts went to our dogs. They followed us where ever we went, if I left they would follow me, What could would leaving do? I would be brought back. I was dirty little girl with scabies all over my arms, wringworm on my wrist. That feeling persisted, until one afternoon, my mother and step-father drove someplace. When they drove away, I left. I was relieved when I saw the dogs, sitting, watching me walk away. I walked to my friends house. Her parents called the police and they took me to a home for girls. I was there for three weeks. The State of Washington, called my mother's sister and her husband, asking them if they would consider taking me into their home. I was flown to Oregon to live with them. They were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They, who already had four grown children, brought me into their home, and raised me. They are my parents. My Father baptized me when I was thirteen years old. I am now and always will be eternally grateful to them, and all they did for me. They gave me a new life.

How I live my faith

I have taught Sunday School to sixteen year olds, and to eight year olds. I enjoy--very much, teaching with the missionaries about Jesus Christ. I have been a missionary every sense I joined the church. I have brought many people into the church. I visit teach, and enjoy working with the ladies from my church. I live my faith by attending church each Sunday. I read, and search the scriptures every day. I serve when and where ever I am asked. I strive to be an example of what I believe to who ever and where ever I am.
