Hi I'm Nick

I'm a tennis addict. My skis and I are PUMPED for the next powder day. I make a mean smoothie. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 23. I love tennis and skiing. I'm a fan of smoothies and virgin piñacoladas. I am of the opinion that Fantastic Mr. Fox is the greatest movie of all time. The Lord of the Rings is one of my favorite reads. I have a super awesome niece, named Eva. We like to eat ice cream, play in the water, and wear ugly Christmas sweaters. I'm getting a degree in Business Administration and applying for dental school. Another fun fact about me: The Super Mario Brothers are actually my siblings. Seriously.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this faith, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Of course, we all reach a point in life where we assess our current lifestyle and beliefs. As I realized that I had the freedom to either continue on with my family's faith or take another path, I weighed the consequences of different decisions and ultimately searched out the truth for myself. I decided to put my beliefs to the test so I could fully commit to a decision from there. As I studied the core of this faith, I pondered and prayed for a confirmation of its truthfulness. For me, it didn't come instantly nor all at once. It took effort, time, and patience. After my sincere "soul-search", I believed that God would answer me, and he did. I now know for myself that this church is true and that God answers prayers. The joy that this faith brings me and my family is greater than anything else. I know that Heavenly Father loves each of us individually and watches over and cares for us more than we even realize. Jesus Christ lives, he atoned for our sins, and is my Savior and Redeemer. I know that God restored truth through the prophet Joseph Smith that brings me answers for today and hope for tomorrow.

How I live my faith

I help organize weekly events where the locals around my age, who are single and usually in college, get together to have a good time. It is a chance for us to meet new people, develop friendships, have fun, and strengthen each other's faith in Jesus Christ.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Nick
The Book of Mormon is a gift from God to each of us. It is another witness, next to the Bible, of Jesus Christ. It is also a guide to help us become better people, draw closer to God, and find purpose in life. The book was written and compiled by ancient American prophets who directed its message to us in this day and age. By the power of God they saw what life would be like for us. They saw the modern struggles that we have and will go through as individuals, families, and nations. Because they saw these events, they included in their writings very specific things to help us deal with the challenges and sorrows that come from living in the time that we live. Everyone can know for themselves that the Book of Mormon is true by taking up the promise it contains. By reading from the book, pondering its message, and sincerely asking God of its truthfulness, a person may know that it is the word of God. Once one receives that answer, he or she can then gain peace in this life and eternal life hereafter by living the teachings and applying the principles in this book. Show more Show less
