Hi I'm Kristin

I'm an artist. A hair Stylist. A learner. A missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life. That's me in 3 words. God has blessed me with a great love of the arts. Painting and drawing are my favorite things to do when I have time to myself. I also enjoy playing the Piano and singing. That's one side of me. Then I have the sporty side of me. I love to run, I know it's weird but I love it. I grew up outside... boating, dirtbiking, camping and hiking. Also among these, is my favorite... golf I'm addicted to the game. I'll try anything new. I have a great appreciation for the outdoors because it allows me to be myself. Both my artistic side and my adventurest side. I have possibly the best family. They are my best friends. I am who I am today because of my family. I have just as much of my dad in me as I do my mom. The art comes from my mom. I love to travel. I get that from my dad. I went to Africa and taught school for a summer and it changed my life. It taught me what life was about. It taught me to love different cultures and people. It gave me a desire to serve a mission for the Lord. And that's currently where I am now. Serving the Lord in the beautiful state of South Carolina.

Why I am a Mormon

My conversion story comes long after my life long membership in the church. I grew up in the church and had great parents that taught me the way to go. I will forever be grateful for the wonderful standards that they taught me. However even then we each have to have that own confirmation of truth for ourselves. Mine came after reading the Book of Mormon all the way through for the first time. I grew such a great love for the truths that are available to each one of us in the Book of Mormon. Mostly the peace that comes when I'm having a hard time and nothing else can fix it except for opening those familiar pages. I chose to be mormon because I have seen what it's like to not be. I have seen others lives and disatisfaction that the world brings. I love my life. It's not always easy, but I know who I am and I know where I stand. I have learned to appreciate the challenges in life and to learn from that. I am contiually learning to be the best person that I can be. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Well right now I'm showing my faith by serving a full-time mission in South Carolina. For a year and a half I get to go out all day every day and invite others to come unto Christ. I get the special opportunity of serving the Lord with all my heart, might, mind and strength. Nothing could be better. I live my faith by showing my faith. The gospel has brought me so much happiness and that's why I have a desire to share that with everyone.

What is being a Mormon like?

Kristin
HAPPY!!! The happiest times in my life are when I'm living the way that I know my Heavenly Father wants me too. Being a Mormon makes that easier because it takes away gray lines and gives you a clear understanding of what we need to do in this life to recieve eternal happiness. It's not always easy, well it's never really easy, but it's worth it. Show more Show less
