Hi I'm Amy

I grew up in a very small town in Montana. I am a stay home mom to my 5 children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Montana where my family was the only members of the LDS church. We traveled an hour each Sunday for church and mid week for youth activities. I treasured those times with my family and other members of the LDS church. I moved to SL for college and loved the big city life. I also loved all the church influence around me. My testimony of the gospel was strengthened. I am now married and we have 5 children. They keep us very busy. I love being able to cook for them, teach them life skills and watch them grow. I love to play the piano, read civil war and pioneer books, scrapbook, cook and go on walks.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been sensitive to my surroundings. When I was younger, the friends I had at church made me feel safe. I was never tempted to drink, do drugs, or immoral acts. I had great friends and we saw the best in each other. I love the Holy Ghost being with me at all times. When I was at a jr. high dance and some class mates came drunk and threw up on my teachers feet, I knew that I was not made to be in those surroundings. I love the feelings I get when I walk on any temple grounds, serve others, teach my children. I know that these feelings are from our Heavenly Father and he is guiding us so that we can come back to him.

How I live my faith

My husband and I have been married for 13 years. We were married in the Bountiful, UT temple. After Aaron was released as being bishop for 5 years for our ward, we moved to the country. We are able to grow a large garden and share lots of it with others. I know that this is a blessing of paying our tithing. We have built our food storage from this which allows us to have money saved for other areas, such as travel. We love to travel with our family. We feel that our best memories are created when we are on the road together. I live my faith by serving others. My freezer is stocked with soup base ready to make soup for those ill or afflicted. I teach 7-8 year old in our primary organization. Watching them grow is so exciting to me. I love to do geneology work. Its exciting to learn of our ancestors. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love that the gospel answers our questions in life. Why we are here, where we will go and what we can do to make us happy. I know that these things really do make us happy.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Amy
Our Heavenly Father loves us and just wants you to talk to him. Come to him in prayer. Ask him if he knows your name, he will answer. For me it was a special feeling like he was telling me that he loves me when I was having a hard day. Show more Show less
