Hi I'm Craig

I am a single father, I enjoy traveling when I am not working, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Craig. I am a single father of four children. My children have or will soon complete college degrees. They make me old and keep me young all at the same time. I was married to their mother for nineteen + years, until we lost her to breast cancer. Life has not always been fun, but we have managed to create memories and look for opportunities to create more. I enjoy a casual bike ride on Saturday mornings, a round of golf from time to time and cannot wait for the college football seasons to start.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all of my life. I have become familiar with the teaching over the course of the my life. I have studied the Old Testament and read the New Testament many times. I love stories of faith, the teachings of Christ and the Apostles. The conversion of Paul is amazing. As a result, I pray often to our Father in Heaven in the name of Christ. I pray for my children, I pray for help at work. I pray about what I study. I ask for confirmation of the truths I find. Over the years I have traveled and worked in Asia. I have many good friends who are of other faiths. I have studied their teachings and pondered the principles they teach. I have confirmed in prayer that Chris is the way, the truth and light. There is no other truth than his way. I have studied the Book of Mormon and have found it to teach the doctrines of Christ, one of my favorite, ...we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins. I know that we are sons and daugthers of God. I know he loves us. I know that he defined the plan of salvation and happiness before he sent Christ to create this earth. I know that in His plan there is wisdom in Him to provide a time of probation. A time for us to determine what we will do when we are not with him. A time to develop our faith and trust in him and in the gospel His Son Jesus Christ taught us. In our day and time he has called and sent Prophets. He has sent back to the earth his authorization for the ordinances of salvation, he is preparing the earth for the eventual return of his Son. I desire to be prepared the best I can when Christ comes again. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I believe being a good citizen of my community, of my state, of the nation. I believe the real strength of a people is passed on and strengthed in family relationships. I believe mothers and fathers have a tremendous opportunity and responsibility to teach their families the gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe that if we follow the principles and teaching of Jesus Christ we will be better Father's and Mother's. To that end I have strived to teach my children the teaching of Jesus Christ. I have tried to be an example of those teachings. I have been successful in many ways, I have failed sometimes, but I try again and again. In my congregation they have asked me to teach the adult Sunday School class. This year we are studying the New Testament. Each week we read and prepare for discussions from the four gospels and the teachings of the Apostles. I really enjoy the discussions, I learn so much from the other members of the church. I have also been asked to visit and provide needed help and support to three other families in our congregation. There are two families and a single Sister that we visit often and work to ensure their needs are being met. One other thing I do is vote. I believe it is a privilege that we have as Citizens of the United States.
