Hi I'm Kyle W.

I Love sports, the outdoors, Mustangs are my favorite car, I love to Golf and I'm A MORMON!

About Me

I am a 20 year old guy who right now is serving the Lord as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Chicago, IL. I graduated from Desert Hills High school in 2010. I have gone to college at Dixie State. I love to get on the golf course and have a blast with my family and friends. I also love to play basketball, I'm not very good at in but I love playing the sport. I only wish I could be like D-Rose.

Why I am a Mormon

I just know that this Church is Christ Church. I have prayed and asked God to tell me if it is true. I know that Christ Lives and that he cares for me. I know that the Book of Mormon helps in every day things, I love being able to read from this book everyday. I am so glad that I have this gospel and all that it does for me, that is why I am out serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Chrsit of Latter day saints. There is no cookie cutter way to be a mormon, we come from all walks of life. That is why I love being a MORMON.

How I live my faith

The way I live my faith is, by doing simple small things. I have broken them down to (RPM) Just like your car has RPM, I use that acronym for my spirtual guide. R- stands for READING I read the Bible and also the Book of Mormon. P- stands for PRAYING, am I praying to the God who gave me life, and giving him thanks in all things. M- stands for MEETINGS, am I going to church, am I doing the things that I have been asked by my church leaders. Church is a huge part of my faith to God and Jeus Christ, I am like a battery and I get spiritually drained in the week, and when I go to church my battery gets a recharge for the up coming week.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Kyle W.
God has called prophets to lead His Church in our day, just as He did anciently. The current prophet and President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Thomas S. Monson. He is assisted by two counselors—Henry B. Eyring and Dieter F. Uctdorf. Together, they make up the First Presidency of the Church (much like Peter, James, and John after Christ’s death). All members of the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles are apostles and prophets. The current Apostles are: ■Boyd K. Packer ■L. Tom Perry ■Russell M. Nelson ■Dallin H. Oaks ■M. Russell Ballard ■Richard G. Scott ■Robert D. Hales ■Jeffrey R. Holland ■David A. Bednar ■Quentin L. Cook ■D. Todd Christofferson ■Neil L. Andersen Show more Show less

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Kyle W.
The principle of tithing, or voluntarily giving one tenth of one’s income to God’s work, has been known since Old Testament times. Abraham paid tithes to Melchizedek (Genesis 14:17-20). The law of tithing is how the Lord funds His Church. Today all faithful members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints contribute one tenth of their income as tithing. Tithing funds are used for: ■Constructing temples, chapels, and other buildings. ■Providing operating funds for the Church. ■Funding the missionary program (This does not include individual missionary expenses.) ■Preparing materials used in Church classes and organizations. ■Temple work, family history, and many other important Church functions. ■Education. When the Lord reminded His people of this law through the prophet Malachi in the Old Testament, He promised to bless those who were willing to pay an honest tithe (Malachi 3:10). Show more Show less
