Hi I'm Rick

I grew up in Hyrum Utah, served a mission to Indiana & graduated from USU. I am the father of 6 children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi I'm Rick, Lisa and I just celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary. We are the proud parents of 6 children, 2 beautiful girls that I adore and 4 boys that make me so proud. I love my beautiful wife and children. They bring such joy to my life and make each day worth living. I firmly believe that families can be together forever. I enjoy hunting, fishing, skiing, golf, tennis, and riding my Harley.

Why I am a Mormon

My ancestors were converted in England and migrated to Utah in the late 1800's. So you might say I am a Mormon by birth. However, my testimony of the Gospel and the comfort and peace that it brings comes through prayer, scripture study and living the principles of the Gospel that I have found to be true. I know the Book of Mormon is another testimony of Jesus Christ. It was written by prophets who lived on the American Continent. The Book of Mormon is a companion to the Bible. Both testify of Jesus Christ and teach us of His divine roll as Savior of the world. I know that God continues to speak to his children through living prophets today, just as he did in days of old. Through sincere prayer, study of these scriptures and following the council of the living prophets, we can come to know our Savior. Though His infinate atonement we can become clean and return to live with our Heavenly Father. I testify that Jesus is the Christ. He is the Son of God and Savior to all.

How I live my faith

I have had the opportunity to serve in many capacities within my church. I have worked with the young men and specifically with the Boy Scouts of America. I have also worked with the young single adults as a leader and teacher. Currently it is my privledge to serve as the leader of our priesthood group. This gives me an assignment to work with others and help them prepare for temple attendance. Our church provides many opportunities to serve our community. We participated in the Windsor Tornado clean-up and more recently we helped replace the roof on a chapel that belongs to another denomination. I believe we grow closer to our Savior through selfless service to others. I appreciate the opportunities of service that our church provides.
