Hi I'm Enia

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work full-time as a Legal Secretary, a career I have had for over 25 years. I am divorced, not by choice, and raised two daughters on my own. I know what it's like to be a working mother and struggle in every respect raising children alone. I enjoy exercising my spirit, mind, and body. I love reading and studying the scriptures (Bible, Book of Mormon, and latter-day revelation), working out at the gym, doing pilates, and taking fast-paced walks. My daughters convinced me to read the Harry Potter series and I loved the books. I love spending time with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church when I was 12, served a full-time mission, and became less active in the Church following my traumatic divorce. Despite having experienced trials in my life prior to that time, there never was a darker time in my life than those years I spent less active in the Church. I owe every happy moment in my life to my membership and full activity in this Church. I could have never raised my daughters without the influence and love of the Savior as expressed by members of my Church family, and none of us would be where we are today were it not for our faith, obedience, and sure knowledge that this is the Church of Jesus Christ restored to the earth in the latter days, and that He is at its helm. I love everything about my membership in this Church. My knowledge allows me to plow through life with a firm hope that, if I endure faithful to my last breath, I will be able to return to the presence of my Heavenly Father, embrace my Savior and thank Him personally for what He did for me, and enjoy the relationships I treasure with my loved ones through eternity.

How I live my faith

I have been involved in helping to teach others about our Church for the past five years, currently teach a high school-aged youth group in an early morning class where we are studying the Old Testament, and also previously spent a few months leading a group of Hispanic/Latino women. I especially love working with the youth of the Church. I also love my calling to visit sisters every month and deliver a spiritual message, as well as simply befriend them. I have forged strong bonds of friendship with these women that I have had the privilege of visiting every month.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Enia
Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, our Eternal Father in Heaven. He came to earth approximately 2,000 years ago, lived a perfect life filled with love and service, performed many miracles, taught His Gospel, organized His Church, and performed the Atonement. He is our Savior and Redeemer, and will come to earth again. Show more Show less
