Hi I'm Charlene

I am a recent convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I'm proud to be a Mormon!

About Me

I am married and the mother of two children and one grandchild. I love my family, my church and learning new things!

Why I am a Mormon

My son, who is currently serving as a missionary joined the church several years ago. He planted seeds from the time he was investigating the church. I was interested in what he was doing but not interested in joining the church. I visited his ward several times when special things were going on like his baptism and confirmation, to hear his talks, etc. When he said he felt called to serve a mission I was very against it and tried without success to discourage him. Once he received his call I was interested to know what he would be doing and agreed to having our local missionaries come and teach us. I only wish I hadn't waited so long! On Mothers' Day of 2011 I was baptized. I know that Jesus gave his life for us, that this is the true church, that we are blessed to have a living prophet on the earth today to guide us and that the book of Mormon is true!

How I live my faith

My family and I attend church each Sunday, have the missionaries over at least once a month for a meal and usually once a week for a lesson. I read my scriptures and pray daily, participate in Relief Society and other activities when at all possible. I introduce myself to those new to the church and talk about my faith when I have the opportunity.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?
