Hi I'm Curt

I was raised by loving parents who taught me to be a good person. I've taught my children to be the same. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in Utah and after graduating from high school attended Brigham Young University for one year before serving a mission in Switzerland (German speaking). After returning home, I returned to BYU and graduated with a degree in accounting before serving four years in the US Navy. Following my hitch in the Navy, got married and my wife of 40 years and I have six children and 10 grandchildren with hopefully more to come. We have lived in Colorado for more than 35 years. Life has been good and full of joyful events with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I grew up a Mormon, I still needed a conversion experience. That happened while serving a Mormon mission in Switzerland. One day I faced the realization that I needed to know of myself if the gospel I was teaching others was true. I resolved to find out. After fasting, studying the scriptures, and intense prayer; a quiet, calm feeling came to me that it was true. I gained the knowledge that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior of the world and that by living his gospel to the best of my ability, I can not only have joy and salvation in the life to come but also joy and happiness in this life. I then realized that I had a testimony all along. I just hadn't recognized it. Testimonies grow and deepen over time. Mine is stronger today than then and it continues to grow.

How I live my faith

I have served in many callings over the years in addition to being a missionary. Currently I serve as bishop of a ward and devote many hours to serving others and comforting them when questions and challenges arise. Serving in the Church has provided great joy, satisfaction and purpose for my life.
