Hi I'm Carolyn

I'm a wife and a mother of three. I'm a stay-at-home mom. I live half way around the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the United States. I moved to Australia with my husband in 2004. We've been here ever since. I love Australia! We now have two beautiful daughters and one adorable son. Being a mom is tough work but completely worth it. I have grown so much since becoming a mom and I know I wouldn't be the person I am today without my children. We have had our ups and downs over the years but through it all I have learned to rely on the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate to have been raised in the LDS church. My parents joined shortly after they were married. I loved going to church as a child. I had a bit of a rebellious stage as a teenager but because of the testimony I gained growing up and the love of my family I realized where I needed to be. I am so grateful for the Savior and His atonement so that I could repent of my sins and be forgiven. I know that if we trust in Heavenly Father and keep His commandments, we will be blessed beyond anything we can even comprehend.

How I live my faith

Being a mother is the most important work I can do in this life. I have to remind myself of this daily because it can be so hard! Teaching my children how to follow the Lord is a huge job. But I don't have to do it alone. Heavenly Father loves each of His children and knows us better than we know ourselves. He is our companion in raising His children and will be there every step of the way if we seek His help.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Mormon women are awesome! We are a diverse group with many different occupations, talents and interests but are unified in our love for the Lord and our desire serve Him. Mormons believe that men and women are equal in the eyes of God. Equal does not mean that men and women are the same though. Women are unique as daughters of God and have a special responsibility to love and nurture children. We are given special gifts and talents to help us in this most important role as mothers.
