Hi I'm Zilpha

I'm a wife, a mother, a grandmother and a missionary and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a senior citizen who looks like I should be sitting in a rocking chair, but I have such a zest for life that I shuffle around every day and try to lift and help others.

Why I am a Mormon

All of my ancestors have been members of the Mormon church for more than three generations, so I was born and raised in a Mormon environment. However, when I was about 14 years old I began questioning my own beliefs and I determined I would find out for my self if what I had been taught all my life was true. I had close friends whose families were active in other Christian churches so I went with them to their church functions and compared and observed. The golden thread that convinced me that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true is FAMILIES! Families are forever and no matter where you go in the world, families love and care for each other and THE FAMILY is the basic most important unit in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

Currently my eternal companion/my spouse for forty one years/and my best friend and I are serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Even though I am nearly deaf and I am going blind and I can't get around very well I feel so strongly about the importance of families that every day we dress up and put on our missionary badges and go out to share our love for our Savior with who ever will listen to us.
