Tanner: Mormon.

Hi I'm Tanner

About Me

I had a fairly normal upbringing I graduated from High School and went to College for Computer Systems Engineering. I have always had a fun time working with computers and playing computer games. I decided to go on a mission for the church because of the testimony I had to gain on my own. The church helped me become the person I am, and helped me steer clear of things that would have negatively affected my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have come to know that my Savior is Jesus Christ and that he set up his church while he was here on the earth. I know that his church is again restored in these last days through the prophet Joseph Smith and it has grown and has been continually led by prophets called and chosen by our Heavenly Father. I have come to know these things by reading the Book of Mormon, praying to know if it is true, and living the commandments and following the standards that the prophets have told us to live by. I have seen the blessings that come from it.

Personal Stories

What blessings have come through your faith in Jesus Christ?

The greatest blessing that I have experienced from my faith in Jesus Christ, is the blessing of forgiveness. Through repentance I have obtained a remission of my sins. Christ suffered so that we didn't have to. He went through every pain, sickness, and affliction we could experience in this life so that he would know how to succor us in our time of need. I have become stronger in my faith as I have exercised my faith unto repentance. I have a sure knowledge that I will live again and that I will be able to live with my family in the presence of my Heavenly Father for eternity if I keep the commandments and have faith in Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Currently I am a missionary for the church serving in the Virginia Richmond Mission. I help people come to know the truth of what we share about the restored church, modern day prophets, and our Savior Jesus Christ. Before serving a mission I served in several callings in the different young men's groups. I was assigned different families to visit with another member of the church. Our responsibility was to make sure these families were doing alright and to see that all their needs were being met.
