Hi I'm Elder Kasat

I'm serving a mission in Tucson Az, I love to make my dreams real, I'm a funny chilean and... I'm obviosly LDS!

About Me

Well, I grew up in Chile and I never knew another place or country before. In my home town werent many mormons and I was one of the few at school. As a kid my family taught me to have faith on God and believe on Him. We met the missionaries and they teach us about the gospel and how to have joy and happiness on this life. As a teenager I wasn't sure about what to do or what to be, even thou I had good parents and leaders on my life that taught me the best things. When you don't have a conviction of something no matter what they tell you, it's not enough. One day I feel that I needed to know the truth, I needed to know if live this kind of life it was worth it, if I really needed to keep my promises with God to be happy and to be succesful. So I did what I have been taught for years, I ask the one that can give me the answer that I needed, God. Then, when I felt it I took the decision to better my life and work for happiness, and my goal is to get as much as I can. I Love cars and to know how things work, I love to fix every thing, and know I'm learning how to fix my own mistakes. I wish I could restore my own muscle car one day. I want to get my own family one day, and to have enough to live, so I can enjoy to be with them all the time. I have a treasure, and when I give it to someone else it grows more. I love to live a happy life.

Why I am a Mormon

Because God has given me the best gifts through it... One of the events that change my life when I was young, my family wasn't really active in church, but I have a friend that didn't forget me. Jose, who is my best friend now, show me how important I am for God, show me that He is always there for me, and that He can use someone else to do His work. My friend never forget me, He was an example for me and encourage me to be better, all of this just cause of the techings of His family and the church. Then I enjoy to attend church with my best friends that love me no matter what.

How I live my faith

I love to tell others how I got my happiness in this life and share with them is aviable for everyone. Now I do service as a missionary of the church, and we represent Jesus Christ and His message to the world. I do my best to be an example to those that need increase their faith in The Lord. We try to talk to everyone we see and let them know about it. We help them to trust and take the decision to have this happiness

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Elder Kasat
Well, fisrt that all, it's what the Bible teaches, so is a real doctrine of the True Church of Jesus Christ. Jesus explain to Nicodemus that every man or woman in this earth need to be born of water and spirit, or in other words, to be baptized and recieved the Holy Ghost. Also in a very personal way for me is the chance that I have to do something for those before me Grandparents, ancestors, relatives, friends, etc., I strongly believe that our time of probation is today, and we have the oportunity to choose whatever we feel like, but also know that some people in this life haven't had that same oportunity. The baptisim for the dead is a proxy ordinance, means that we do it in favor of those that pass away already. It is performed in the temple, an special sacred building where those ordinances are acomplete. To me is the way to give back a favor for those in my family line that in some time of their life make possible that I'm here enjoing of the blessing of their efforts, even if they never knew it. This is what is this about, do something for someone else and don't be selfish with the great blessing we hold in our lives. Show more Show less
