Hi I'm Chad

I love my family! I love basketball! I'm a Mormon Missionary!! :)

About Me

I was born and raised in the town of South Weber, Utah, I am the middle child of 3 boys. I love my family, we have always been close, we enjoy watching movies, playing board games, and occasional camping trips. From a young age I grew to love sports of any kind, basketball in particular. I joined a competition basketball league when I was 9 years old and have loved it ever since! I started playing football when I was 8 years old for a city league, I was also involved in baseball, golf, and snowboarding. In high school, I played football, basketball, and I ran track for all 3 years. After I graduated in 2010, I recieved a mission call to the Arizona Tucson Mission and returned home December 5, 2012. I loved my mission, it was EXACTLY what I needed! I plan on going to school to become a physical therapist and I can't wait to have a family of my own one day!

Why I am a Mormon

Because it makes me happy!! :) I have never been more happy at any point in my life than when I am living the gospel! Yeah, I have hard times and just because I'm doing my best doesn't mean that I am exempt from challenges and trials, but I know that those will pass and that happiness, light, and truth will prevail. :) I am a Mormon because it has changed my life and it changes my life every day! I love it :)

How I live my faith

As I was a senior in high school, I was able to serve as our schools seminary council president. It gave me an opportunity to see the testimonies of others, the happiness that comes from the feelings of the spirit. I realized how important this church is. I attended a large high school nearly 3,000 students and through my sports I was able to be an example to my friends on and off the field/court. I had many friends that weren't LDS but yet they saw the happiness that comes in our lives from this gospel, they would come to me and my friends for questions on situations and with certain issues they have been having because they knew that we had a different way of looking at things. Being an example is my way that I love to show my faith. "Be an example of the believers." I had the chance to live my faith for two years on my mission, being a missionary shaped my eternal life and it gave me more purpose and direction than I have ever had before. Being home, I now live my faith through how I live and act. I try to show my faith, rather than just use words.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Chad
Friends come and go, but family is always there. We are born into families, we all have families, no matter who we are, no matter where we live, no matter what the circumstance. Everyone has a family. The happiness that comes from Christ starts in the home. If we can come home every time and be able to know that His spirit is felt within the walls of it, how much more does that house become a home, not only to us, but a home to the Lord? I love my family and I know that I can be with them forever! How cool is that? Show more Show less
