Hi I'm Clark

I'm an extreme sport fanatic. I can't get enough of nature. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm just like any other teenager out there who loves to spend time outside. I grew up in a home where we were taught the ways of God and where we learned to respect His creations. I love the thrills of life and the amount of fun we can have being a part of this world our Father created for us. I enjoy rock climbing, downhill biking, hiking, camping, surfing, skydiving and basically anything that involves nature and an adrenaline rush. I am fascinated by the body's abilities and began studying Biological Engineering at a local university before I dropped it all for two years to preach the message of the Restoration.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon not only because it makes sense in my head, but because it feels right in my heart. I found that the story of the Restoration of Christ's church is true not only through study and finding that it fits perfectly with all teachings in the Holy Bible and all books of history, but because I asked one of the three witnesses that were in the grove with Joseph Smith; I asked God. I prayed to our Father in Heaven and asked Him in the name of His son whether or not the Book of Mormon really was holy scripture, and I felt that it was. I know that it is the word of God, and I know that Joseph Smith saw what he said he saw. The gospel and authority of Jesus Christ has once again been established on the earth. I know these things are true and that all who open their hearts to the message Christ's true church preaches will find feelings of peace, love and joy like nothing they've felt before.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example of what I believe in everything I do every day. I try and live in a way that helps others see what I have and where it's from. I currently am serving a mission in Omaha, Nebraska and find joy in serving others and sharing the knowledge of the fullness of the gospel that I have.

What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

Mormons, or members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. During His earthly ministry He not only atoned for our sins, but taught eternal truths and founded His church with authority from on high. He gave that authority to His apostles and left the church in their hands when He ascended to His father. Those who crucified the only perfect being to walk the face of the earth continued to persecute those who led His church. The apostles were killed and the perfect truths that the Savior taught were lost and/or corrupted. We believe that after a long period of extreme spiritual darkness, God once again established the truths He had throughout history. He called a prophet, a young boy who humbly sought out the answer to the question of, "Which church should I join?" In answer to a prayer inspired by James' advice to ask God, our Father in Heaven appeared to speak to Joseph Smith, and guided him to not only restore unity and bring back the truths that were lost during the Dark Ages (including the authority lost long ago), but led him to The Book of Mormon, which contains the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
