Hi I'm Matthew

I live in Estonia, I love life and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in south central Idaho, and I now live in Estonia and I love it here. I got married in 2010 to a girl from here and I love being married to her. Right now I am getting my PhD in International Relations. I think different cultures, languages and countries are all very interesting. I also love sports.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family and when I was in high school I wanted to find out for myself if it was true. Before that I thought it was true, I believed it was true but I had never asked God if it was true. One night I prayed to know if the Book of Mormon was true, if Joseph Smith was a prophet and if this was his church. After that I didn't feel anything, I wondered why I had not received an answer. I decided to pray again. This time I prayed with all my heart and I got an answer. I felt in my heart, in my spirit that this church was true, that the Book of Mormon was scripture and that Joseph Smith was a prophet. The feeling got stronger and stronger until I started crying. I will never forget that experience and I will never be able to deny that it came from God. Being a Mormon is great, I wouldn't have it any other way. I love the teachings and principles taught in my church, and I enjoy the friendship from other people trying to live the same way.

How I live my faith

I love going to church, I always feel more dedicated to my savior and religion afterwards. The branch where I attend has many wonderful people there. I have been able to serve in my church in many different ways, I have enjoyed all of them.
