Hi I'm Kent

I'm a husband and a father of 5. I'm a son and a brother. I'm a disciple of Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

With all due respect to all you other husbands out there, I'm the luckiest of them all. I've been married to my sweetheart for just over 30 years, and I always say, "we're still on our honeymoon!" We have five great kids, a girl and four boys. We also have four grandchildren, with a fifth on the way (due in August). We've moved around quite a bit, and have found great joy and great people everywhere. Some of my favorite things are sports (baseball, football, basketball and golf are my favorites), music (especially classical, jazz and the hymns of the church), and spending time with my family. I've never been on a cruise, but would love to go sometime. I also want to go on another mission, the next one with my wife as my companion.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up attending another church, going to Sunday School and the other worship services of that faith. I was even an altar boy for a time. But my life began to change when the missionaries found my mom and started teaching her about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ when I was 10 years old. I was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints a little more than two years later, and my testimony of the Book of Mormon and the prophet Joseph has never wavered. I love the Lord, I love His gospel and I want everyone I come in contact with to know it.

How I live my faith

I want people to know that I'm trying to be like Jesus and to follow His perfect example for us. I want people to know that I'm a Mormon and that I'm trying to "Choose the Right" in very aspect of my life. I attend church meetings, I accept duties and responsibilities in my local congregation. I read and study the scriptures (though not as regularly as I should). I do not use bad language. I do not see R-rated movies. I love living the gospel, and would want to live my life this way even if I'd never heard of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
