Hi I'm Laura

I am a 5th grade teacher. I enjoy crafting and sewing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an elementary school teacher. I currently teach 5th grade at a large elementary school. The kids and my career are my passion. I spend countless hours each week preparing to teach so I make sure my students learn the very best. I was married a few years ago to my darling husband. We were married in the Salt Lake City temple. My husband and I love doing things together to draw closer to one another. Our favorite activity is cooking together. I love nature. I grew up in a mountainous area and would not trade my mountains for anything. Hiking and camping are two of my favorite things to do. I also enjoy creating projects and artwork. My favorite mediums are fabric, paper, wire, and metal.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, but that does not mean I do not constantly make a decision to stay where I am. My parents greatly encouraged me to attend church, but I always knew I had the choice to go. I have always loved this church and had faith that the teachings and doctrine are true. I know that as Adam, Abraham, and Isaac of old, we have living prophets today to lead the church and give us direction. I know that the scriptures also lead us and consistent study of them will help us learn what we need to do while on this earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by making sure I go to church every week and take part in other church activities. I constantly visit other women in my ward so that we can chat and share gospel messages with each other. I also play the piano during church for the children to sing to. They always make me laugh and help strengthen my testimony.
