Hi I'm Jeff.

I'm a retired logger, I went to school on Texada Island with a class of nine, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a retired logging contractor. I enjoy touring with my motorcycle. I'm a father of six children. I grew up in isolated place because of my job. I met my current wife and became a Latter-Day Saint. I was introduce to the Gospel at age fourty. I enjoy salt water fishing. I am mechanically able to fix or repair just about anything. I grew up in British Columbia, Canada; mostly along the coast.

Why I am a Mormon

I realized after meeting my sweetheart, who was a member of the Church, that she had qualities that I wanted to bring into my life. At that time there were two Sister Missionaries serving in the area. I started taking the lessons in between my time at the logging camp. While at camp I started reading the scriptures. I read the Book of Mormon. I gained a testimony from reading and praying about it. The Church improved my life and made me feel better about myself and the world around me. I understood my place in the world at that time and have served in the Church ever since.

How I live my faith

I now serve as one of the leaders in our area. I am responsible for the other members of our congregation. Each month I go hometeaching, which is a method of visiting different members of our church. At this time bring a monthly message to these members, usually gospel oriented, but also we are aware of the needs of the family. We try to help them in a spiritual or physical way. I am a firm believer in loving and helping other people, whether financially or spiritually. What goes around comes around. Serving with the spirit helps others.
