Hi I'm Laura

I'm a mother and a wife. I'm a neighbor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family is blessed to be in a position where I get to be a stay-at-home mom! Although the world and many people I know don't fully understand this decision, it is the best choice for me and for my family. Raising three small children can be challenging, but the happiness it brings me makes it all worthwhile. I know I will have the memories of this precious time with my children forever. I love music, sunshine, friends and spending time with those I love. I love to travel and learn about new places and people.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that was very active in the church. As a child, I always felt an inner peace that I noticed some adults didn't have, or understand. As I grew older, I began to realize what a precious gift and blessing I had been given by having the knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I studied the words of the prophets in the Bible and The Book of Mormon. I listened to the living prophet. I attended church and prayed daily to my Heavenly Father. Over time I realized that I was no longer doing these things because they were expected of me by my family. I was doing them because I knew for myself that the things I had been taught were true. I have had some significant challenges in my life. The only time I have felt peace during these challenges is when I ponder on the Gospel and feel in my heart the love that Heavenly Father and His Son have for me personally. When I think about the things I know to be true, I feel a peace come over me that I want to share with others.

How I live my faith

I attend my church meetings every week with my husband and three children. My husband and I also try to attend the temple as often as we can. At the temple we can gain additional knowledge, feel at peace, and worship Christ. I participate in the children's classes in our ward by playing the piano for our music and singing time. It is a great way for me to use my love for music to help others.
