Hi I'm Travis

I'm a family medicine physician, a husband with the most wonderful wife and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to do anything outdoors, travelling, and attempting food network channel recipes. I always try to be optimistic and easygoing no matter what situation I am in. I love to swim, I grew up swimming so every time I get in the water I feel like I am at home and peaceful. Reading about the world war II generation and there sacrifice always amazes me. As a physician, I love being able to talk with people and help them in some small way, it is truly an honor to be in this profession and I am humbled by how little we know of God's Creations.

Why I am a Mormon

Questioning and searching for answers is why I am a Mormon. The church has allowed me to find those answers and to follow Jesus Christ in the most direct way possible. Knowing Him better allows me to understand who I am and where I am going. I am able to be a better person to all those around me with this knowledge. The Bible and Book of Mormon give me clarity of what is really important in life. Being Mormon allows me to understand the power of change that can occur in my life. Above all, being Mormon gives me much needed hope.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by trying to live like the Savior Jesus Christ, I fall short of this everyday but it doesn't prevent me from starting over tomorrow. I get to teach 12 year olds in sunday school about; where we are from before being born, what our purpose is here in life and where we are going after death. I get to teach them the sacred work that is done in the temples for all people. I get to teach them about being in the world but not being of the world. I feel like I am learning more from them, then they are learning from me. One thing I have learned from them is that they love watching video clips from lds.org, those techies!
