Hi I'm Parker

I grew up in Utah. I'm a world traveler. I believe that there is ALWAYS an adventure to be had. But above all, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I been in Utah my whole life and it has been the BOMB living there! i love the outdoors and i love whitewater river rafting, which I have done every summer of my life since i was a kid. I have also grown up camping and hiking in the beautiful Wasatch mountains. I really love being in the outdoors because I truely feel closer to God in his country. "Believe in God; believe that he is, and that he created all things, both in heaven and in earth; believe that he has all wisdom , and all power, both in heaven and in earth; believe that man doth not comprehend all the things which the Lord can comprehend." (Mosiah 4:9) I truely believe that God did create everything for us, and so I choose to take full advantage of those things! Something I have also been able to do in my life is travel the world. 6 years ago, my family was blessed to be apart of a company called "Monavie". My dad works in this company and he has been able to go all over the world because of its success. I have been able to travel with my dad seeing the world and ALL of its different views and beliefs. It has been the best experiance of my life meeting new people and really seeing how the world interacts with life and its everday challanges. Other than those few things, I am a big fan of going on crazy adventures with friends, and just having a blast! I also love dancing and jamin out to good music. I love to sing as well. OH! and snowmobilling! the list goes on forever.....

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Utah Valley and I have been there my whole life. Because of my parents and the values they taught me, it was only that much easier for me to decide where I needed to be in my life to come closer to my Savior Jesus Christ. It was through my friends and family around me that helped build my foundation in Christ. But it was fortified through the Book of Mormon. I tell you these things so that you know I chose this for myself. Not because I was forced to choose. Yes, I was born into this church, but it was not forced on me. My parents knew that this church was the right church, but they also knew and respected me enough to let me choose for myself. Because of this choice I was able to make through prayerful consideration and faith, after receiving my answer from the Spirit, I knew that it was correct for me. My answer of course did not come in one sitting or over night for that matter, but over a periode of time where I was open to the promptings of the spirit to guide me while I researched for myself. Of course I had a desire. I wanted to KNOW! I wanted to experiance the great joy and happiness that I was seeing around me. I wanted that, forever. Not just now. Well, i found it. " Remember that without faith you can do nothing; therefore ask in faith"...."But, behold, I say unto you, that you must study it out in your mind; then you must ask me if it be right, and if it is right I will cause that your bosom shall burn within you; therefore, you shall feel that it is right." (D&C 8:10, 9:8) I studied and prayed about the Book of Mormon over a periode of time and I still read from it. But I asked God in prayer and I knew through the Holy Ghost the it is right. I know it. Just like the promise at the end of the Book of Mormon says that if we ask in faith after we read, ponder and pray, having a real intent to know, "By the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things. (Moroni 10:3-5) I know this is true and you can too. I promise

How I live my faith

Currently, I am living my faith by serving a two year mission for my church. I am serving in T.H.E. Mission. (Texas Houston East) and it is the best thing in the world! I get to spend all day everyday teaching people about Jesus Christ and his great love for every person on this earth. As missionaries, we teach people how they can come closer to Jesus Christ and experiance that great love he has for all of us through Faith in Jesus Christ and his Atonement, Repentance, Baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End. I am grateful everyday that I can be apart of this great work to bring people and their families closer to Him. Being out on my mission has helped me greatly understand the plan that he has for all of us. Nothing brings me greater joy than to be in Texas helping others increase their faith and Knowlegde in Him. Of course, I am not the only missionary doing this. There are over 50,000 missionaries worldwide that leave there home, family, friends, tv, cell phones, and much more for two years to go out into the world to teach people how to live a faith filled life in Jesus Christ. "But purify your hearts before me; and then go ye into all the world, and preach my gospel unto every creature who has not yet received it"..."Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to abserve all things whatsover I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world, Amen" (D&C 112:28, Matthew 28:19-20) We are called of God to be missionaries in this world to preach His gospel and that is what I will be doing for the next Year and a Half of my life. of course, it never truely ends, bearing your testimony and helping others find christ. I know that to be true and so I live my life to where I can do that every day. Even in my actions. I try to be the best example that I can and thats all I can do. It is the best thing in the world!!
