Hi I'm Jess

I grew up in Virginia. I'm the oldest of 5 kids. I'm graduating college this year. I want to teach kindergarten. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just got home from serving a mission in Arizona. I loved sharing my beliefs with those I taught and really help them. Currently I am a student. I'll be graduating this year. I want to teach elementary school and help change the lives of children. I am the oldest of 5 kids which has taught me a lot over the years. I love to do puzzles and watch t.v. Law and Order and CSI are probably my two favorite shows. I also love to sew and paint. Traveling is one thing that I hope to do more of in the future. I love to explore.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to grow up in the church. I didn't always understand everything that was expected of me but as I have grown older I have gained a testimony for myself. I am so grateful for the guidance and direction that the gospel gives me. The Book of Mormon is what really helped to truly convert me. As I read each page, I found that I came to know my Savior better and I felt that He was really watching over me. My favorite verse is at the very beginning. 1 Nephi 1:20. Nephi states that he is going to tell us about the mercy of the Lord. As I continued to read, I looked for how the Lord interacted with His people and in turn found that He was playing the same role in my life. I am so thankful for the spirit and for the way it touches my soul. I know that this is the true church and that we have a living prophet on the earth today.

How I live my faith

Each week I love to participate in church activities and attend services. I also have the opportunity of being a teacher about once a month to the women of the church. I love this calling as it helps me to relate to other women and help us all grow in the gospel together. I am also on a council to help the young single adults of the church to participate in religious education and activities.
