Hi I'm Paul

I am a father of 5 children, I love learning. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Ohio and Texas as the third of seven children. I loved playing basketball and singing in choirs and musical groups. I went to college and met my wife our Freshman year. We have five children who have all been to college and are living in different places. They are a joy to us. I work in Human Resources and oversee learning and development for my company, a non-profit financial services company. We love living in Colorado and enjoy outdoor activities including Mountain Climbing, hiking and backpacking, skiing and enjoying the beauties of nature. I love helping people learn and grow and learning myself. I particulary enjoy developing leaders.

Why I am a Mormon

Early in life I had unique personal and family experiences that pointed me to think and feel deeply about spiritual things. I had a deep interest and impressions about my faith and the love of Heavenly Father. As a young boy I read scriptures that touched me personally. At age 14 I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true. I had a sweet and confirming witness through feelings of peace and happiness that it was the word of God. I shared my faith with others in High School and then served a mission for my church during my college years. I lived in Austria and shared my faith with a number of people there. I saw God's love in peoples lives and know he loves all his children.

How I live my faith

I love helping and serving others in my church and in my community. I have served a mission in Austria for two years during my college years. After marriage we moved to Louisiana where I served as a Scoutmaster to young men in our church and others from different denominations, backgrounds and heritages who joined with us. I have served as a lay leader of several congregations and currently serve as a counselor to the leader of a number of congregations where we now live. I enjoy singing with the choir in our congregation and sharing my faith with others.
