Hi I'm Bonnie

I'm Chinese now studying in Melbourne. I love being in a new place and learning different cultures. I'm pround to be a mormon

About Me

I'm currently a college student in Melbourne. I have a sweet family back in China without any brothers or sisters though. I don't talk much when I just get to know someone. But I love doing crazy interesting things with friends who I'm familia with. Haha~ I am very into long history cultures..I love travelling, hand crafting of course learning a new language..

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a christian protestant family. I strived to find a church when i first arrived in Melbourne. One of my house mates was an inactive LDS member. One day the missionaries came to our place looking for him. But they found me who was eager to go to the church. They introuduced me to my neighbour which is a mormon family. Unfortunately I refused to see missionaries again when we finished two lessons. Because I couldn't believe any words they taught me about the restored gospel and the Book of Mormon. I gave the book of Mormon back to my neighbour and we were still like being friends but never talked about the church. Half of a year passed by, one day there were two new missionaries came to me and invited me to a baptism. I felt uncomfortable but finally i decided going. I had no idea why I started to cry at the begining of the baptism. But when the baptism finished, I went forward to missionaries and asked for preparing a lesson for me and decided to come to church on sundays just for giving myselft a oppotunity to know Mormons one more time. I decided to be baptized because that's my mum's birthday. I didn't feel that quite happy because I still couldn't find any testimonies of the church. But I still chose to stay and go to church every sundays but never read the book of Mormon. Another half of a year passed by, another two new missionaries found out that I didn't have a testimony of the book of mormon. They were very serious and challenged me to read it no matter how uncomfortable I feel. I need to pray continuely for seeking the testimony. I cried a lot at that period of time, but that's the most important part of my life because I really strongly got to know that it is true. Joseph Smith did restore the true church of Jesus Christ. I knew that every single principles in the book of mormon is true. I would never dout that again. Those two missionaries became my best friends in my life.

How I live my faith

I love to do any service for Lord's church. I can do anything he wants me to do. I had a opportunities to teach ladies about gospel principles once a month. I love helping teaching with missionaries. As Jesus Chirst taught us, we need to go out and share his gospel all over the world. I do know that He really answers our prayer if we seek for His help. I'm also preparing to serve a mission for our Lord in two years time. Because I do know that the restored gospel really blesses our family.
