Hi I'm Chase

I'm a student. A hard-worker. I love to laugh, eat, and travel. I'm totally a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student at Utah Valley University. I work there too. I served a mission in the Guatemala Retalhuleu Mission. I love to eat burritos, pizza, and Chinese food. I love my family and friends. I love going to church and feeling the love my Savior Jesus Christ has for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know it's the easy way in life. I know God has a plan for me, I know that it's the only way to be happy. I'm a Mormon because Satan is strong, I know he makes people miserable, and the only way to combat him is through God and His son Jesus Christ. I know that through Christ we can be forgiven of our sins and be clean and full of peace. I'm a Mormon because I know it's true.

How I live my faith

I served a two year mission in the magical land of Guatemala. Serving and loving the people. I continue to live my faith by doing what I taught, which is, reading the scriptures, praying, attending church and the temple, serving and loving others, and loving God and His Son Jesus Christ.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Chase
We are told to take care of our bodies because they are a gift from our Heavenly Father. They house our spirits and that is why they are called a temple. Defiling our bodies is like defiling the House of the Lord. When we keep our bodies clean, our spirits are kept clean and are not affected the way they would be through the use of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, etc. Show more Show less

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Chase
The Atonement is the most sacred and most important piece of world history, yet many people don't know about it. The Atonement is a name the scriptures give for three events of the life of our Savior Jesus Christ. One, He suffered the sins, pains, afflictions, and sicknesses of every person in the Garden of Gethsemane. Two, He was crucified on the cross of Calvary. Three, after three days in the tomb, Jesus Christ rose again and was resurrected. There is no way I can put into words what this means for me how grateful I am. Through the Atonement we are all able to repent of our sins. Jesus Christ satisfied the demands of justice so we could have mercy. If we repent and change our ways, we won't have to suffer as He did. The Atonement also gives us the opportunity to live again. One day, we will take our bodies and live again. If we chose the right on this earth we will be blessed to live with our families forever while enjoying the blessings of the Atonement. Show more Show less
